What is CAP/DA?

A Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) program authorized to provide a cost-effective alternative to institutionalization for a Medicaid participant who is medically fragile and at risk or institutionalization if home- and community-based services were not available.

The services allow the individual to remain or return to a home and community-based setting. This program supplements, rather than replaces, the formal and informal services and supports already made available to an approved Medicaid participant.
